Is 96khz/24bit upsampling enough?
Article
Since the vast majority of the audio formats available are only in 44.1khz/16bit, 96khz upsamling is more than enough. To be honest with you, 192kHz sampling is just more or less a "marketing" term, in real world, you will not hear any difference. Apart from digital circuit, analog circuit is equally important. We've spent a great time in designing the analog stage to make the DAC sounds even better than a lot much more expensive units. Furthermore, a 192khz upsampling DAC with bad hardware design might sound even worse than a 96khz or even a 44.1khz DAC with proper hardware design.
